Re: AddisonMckee wins coveted World Class Manufacturing Award
I am pleased to announce AddisonMckee has been awarded the 2007 World Class Manufacturing Award, as presented by “The Manufacturer” – a world-wide resource organization for manufacturing decision makers.
The Awards are designed to recognize the world-class levels of manufacturing excellence. In 2007, there were seven categories to reward particular industry sector success:
- Manufacturer of the Year Award
- Leadership & Strategy Award
- Design & Innovation Award
- World Class Manufacturing Award
- Skills & Productivity Award
- IT in Manufacturing Award
- Logistics & Supply Chain Award
AddisonMckee is the single recipient of the World Class Manufacturing Award, despite the fact the category was the awards program’s most competitive with hundreds of applicants. A description of the category follows:
World Class Manufacturing Award
Reaching for world-class manufacturing standards means benchmarking and examining everything from lead times to customer returns, from work content to labor minutes per unit, and from inventory levels to cycle times. The winner of this award will be a company that has already made significant, sustained progress towards being world-class or a company that has made the commitment and got off to an impressive start.
The Manufacturer Awards 2007 will be announced during the conference lunch on May 30th, 2007 at The Manufacturer LIVE, Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers, Chicago, Illinois, slated to be attended by more than 500 USA-based manufacturing professionals. AddisonMckee delegates, as well as WHI Capital Partners representatives, will be on hand to receive the award.
