WILMINGTON, OH - April 12, 2006 - AddisonMckee, a global leader in
the tube bending and end-forming market, recently announced the opening
of a new manufacturing facility in Brantford, Ontario, Canada. The
company, with current facilities in Wilmington, Ohio, Preston, UK, and
Tianjin, China, expects the Canadian facility to be fully operational
by spring of 2006. AddisonMckee Canada has been established to better
service the growing market in that region as well as to develop a new
product line for making mufflers and other custom engineered equipment
that will be sold and serviced on a global basis. Additionally, this
facility will be responsible for providing refurbishment of all types
of tube forming equipment for North American clients.
Sabine and DeVouge added to complete the global management Team
AddisonMckee has appointed Jim Sabine as
General Manager of Canadian Operations and Doug DeVouge as Vice
President Sales and Development – Muffler Technology. Mr. Sabine joins
the company with over 20 years of industry experience in the areas of
engineering services, business development, sales and marketing
strategy, control systems and automation. Mr. DeVouge comes to
AddisonMckee with over 28 years of technical sales experience in the
tube manipulation industry and is widely respected for his
comprehensive knowledge of the latest muffler equipment and
manufacturing technologies.
Expanded Product Line Includes Muffler Making Equipment
Complimenting their existing product line of equipment and tooling
used to manufacture tubular exhaust systems, AddisonMckee will now
manufacture a line of equipment to produce mufflers. “For years
customers have asked us to manufacture muffler assembly machinery in
order to supply them with a complete exhaust system solution” states
company President Joe Eramo. Eramo continues, “By adding the
comprehensive technical expertise of Jim Sabine and Doug DeVouge, we
are able to make this customer request a reality and offer the market a
one-stop source for delivering exhaust solutions from the engine
manifold through the muffler tail pipe.”
Equipment Refurbishment Services
Jim Sabine noted, “With capital budgets being limited on many
projects, refurbishment of existing capital assets is often an
attractive option for our customers, allowing them to take advantage of
new control technologies, upgrade their equipment safety and eliminate
dependence on obsolete or hard-to-find spare parts. By drawing on the
existing technologies of the AddisonMckee group and utilizing the
extensive experience and industrial expertise that exists in the
Canadian Operation, we are equipped to refurbish a wide range of tube
forming equipment from virtually any manufacturer.”
