WHI Capital Partners is a Chicago-based private equity group that invests in mid-size companies that have been consistently profitable and fundamentally well-run, but which possess unrealized potential that can be unlocked with the help of our financial, strategic and operational resources and expertise. It is our aim to build on a company’s existing strengths by helping management fine-tune operating efficiencies and execute a focused growth plan. Our investment philosophy relies primarily on establishing strong, effective and trusting partnerships with senior management to help a company realize its full potential.

We appreciate that creating win-win transactions requires understanding and addressing all of the owners’ needs. Our principals have extensive experience working with closely-held and family-based businesses as owners, managers, advisors and investors. In fact, our parent firm, William Harris Investors, Inc., is a family-based asset management firm with more than $1 billion under management that created its wealth using the same model we employ with our portfolio companies.

Over the next three-to-five years, WHI Capital Partners anticipates investing approximately $100 million either by acquiring companies, providing growth capital or by supporting industry executives who are looking to purchase a platform company and need a value-added partner to execute on their strategy. Additionally, we are always open to co-investing and partnering with other like-minded private equity investors on larger transactions.
